Music Success in Nine Weeks Entry #3 - Goals Part - 2

So here is something I notice.  Ariel tells us to write our list of 6 tasks for the day the night before.  So I did this last night.  I had every intention of completing my tasks and hoping for extra time to start other tasks.  Here's my original list:

1.  Meditate
2.  Dream Board
3.  Gym
4.  Mail out CD's
5.  Bank
6.  Make appointment to service motorcycle

I completed tasks 1, 3, and 4, and planned to hit task 6 before 7 PM when the shop closes, but all of a sudden I find myself lost in the world of html code.  I spent a good 4 hours working on my website to clean it up.  By the time I was done, I was so burnt mentally.  I took a break to eat dinner, then realized at around 7:30 I forgot to call the motorcycle shop.  Still burnt from the computer, I vegged in front of the TV.

I tried to lessen my guilt by playing my guitar and working on my new song during commercial breaks, and when I got burnt out on that, I decided to clip some pictures out of my Guitar Center catalogs for my dream board.

This brings up a pattern for me, at least I think it does.  A pattern of losing focus and not sticking to the tasks at hand.  I feel like in the case above though, it wasn't a wash because these are things I will do eventually anyhow, so it's all good...at least for these little things.  Maybe it's just I go with the flow instead?

I know the website tweaking was a result of reading something of Ariel's about never knowing what page of your website someone may land on, so I wanted to make each page as consistent as possible.

So long story long, my actual tasks for today; my 5 successes are:

1.  Meditated
2.  Worked out
3.  Mailed out CDs
4.  Started on my dream board
5.  Cleaned up my website - http://www.oneworldrevolution.us

I also started on my actual goals.  Here are the generalized versions for my music goals for the next 12 months:

1.  Write and record a new 13 song album.
2.  Have one of my songs in the Billboard Top 100 Chart.
3.  Tour the world.
4.  Have my music placed in film/TV.
5.  Have a great business team supporting me - booking agency(s), manager (business), marketing team, etc.
6.  Film 3 music videos.

I started on my music goals for my lifetime:

1.  Become inducted into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
2.  Win several Grammy Awards.
3.  Be recognized as an artist that helped make the world a better place through my music.

This is actually challenging to come up with lifetime music goals.

My plan is to finish the generalized lists, then go back and hammer out the details.  What's left are a few more lifetime music goals, money goals for the next 12 months, and lifetime goals.

All this thinking makes my brain hurt!  LOL!  Hopefully at the end of this, the 15-hour work days will come to an end and I'll find some play time in there somewhere.  : )
